Lisa + Anaru // North Shore Auckland Wedding

Lisa and Anaru celebrated their marriage on Saturday 3 March 2018 at the Fairway Conference Center on the North Shore. It was a fantastic coming together of two families and cultures, who obviously share a very special bond. There was laughter, tears, some fantastic sotries AND a couple of Haka’s to boot. I also managed to shoot a ‘supernova Hongi’ ๐Ÿ™‚ย READ MORE

Mike + Hailey // Tauranga Wedding, Charlemagne Lodge

Mike and Hailey recently tied the knot down at the amazing Charlemagne Lodge, in Te Puna. I’ve known Mike for quite some time and it was a real privilege to be able to document the marriage of these two, who so obviously share a very special relationship. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly nervous for Mike and Hailey with the weather – we’d just had some of the heaviest and wildest weather of the year which made for a slightly crazy drive down the night before. Thankfully they ended up with pretty much perfect conditions – stoked! Thanks again both for allowing me to capture your day. Peace.

Arlene + Jake // Engagement Session, Auckland Botanic Gardens

Back in the year that was 2016….Jake, Arlene, Max (the fluffy one) and I took a walk through the Auckland Botanic Gardens the weekend before Christmas. This is their local park so I was given the grand tour while having a barrel of laughs taking photos of them all. It was a super relaxed session despite the blazing sun and heat! Naturals such as these will have a BLAST on their wedding day – it is going to be fantastic ๐Ÿ™‚

Family Travels // Brisbane and Sunshine Coast

We had an awesome little getaway to Aussie in March this year. We’d been to Brisbane in 2007 which was my first ever overseas trip with my then-girlfriend (now my lovely wife!). Its amazing how much Brisbane has changed since then. I remember our initial impression was of a rather bleak and bland inner city (when comparing it with Melbourne) with not much to do. Its fair to say our impression has now changed dramatically since then – an abundance of cafes and active public spaces line the city streets. You can’t help but enjoy it.READ MORE

Alice and Doug // Auckland Wedding at St Mary’s Chapel and Five Knots

A couple of weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing Doug and Alice’s marriage at the beautiful St Mary’s Chapel in Auckland. These two were so lucky with the weather! It had been raining earlier in the week and the forecast kept changing from sun to rain to sun…and luckily it settled on fine weather with just some pesky clouds rolling in come the evening. After the ceremony we boosted itย down to Westhaven Marina under Rotary Power for some photos. The westie in me was well- stoked at that point to be hitching a ride ๐Ÿ™‚ The reception was held at Five Knots on Tamaki Drive, and when I left they were both dancing the night away to some sweet tunes.

USA road trip in California pacific coast highway

Our Trip to California // Travel Photography

In August we traveled to California to sample the USA for the first time. We saw it as a great chance to make the most of the cheap airfare on account of Sienna’s age (you pay next to nothing for an under 2 year old) and who doesn’t want to travel?! ย We saw driving the iconic Pacific Coast Highway as a great thing to do for our first big trip away, and a great way of mixing things up and seeing different cities/towns and landscapes. It worked.

Adam + Anita // Auckland Engagement Photographer

I was very lucky to spend an afternoon at Muriwai with Adam and Anita, who are one very happily engaged couple ๐Ÿ™‚ Luckily for them we had a stunner of a weekend – I can’t quite remember the last time I have seen a perfectly cloudless day like that. Magnificent you two. I hope you like these photos as much as I do. I can’t wait to bust out the camera on your wedding day!
